Turkey Creek Park Engagement Session | Emerald Coast Photographer celebrates a story that began years before they ever said “yes” to forever. Growing up, their grandparents lived on the same street, giving them the chance to become childhood friends long before romance entered the picture. Over time, friendship grew into love, creating a relationship built on trust, laughter, and years of shared memories.

When they reached out to plan their engagement photos, I knew this session would be about much more than beautiful portraits. It would be about telling the beginning of the next chapter in a story that had already been years in the making.

Instead of rushing from one location to another, we were able to slow down, explore together, and let each part of the park naturally become part of their story.

Childhood Friends Turned Soulmates

One of my favorite things about Aubrey and Nolan is how comfortable they are together.

Their relationship doesn’t feel forced or staged—it feels familiar.

That makes sense considering they’ve known each other since they were kids.

Growing up, their grandparents lived on the same street, giving them countless opportunities to spend time together. As the years passed, their friendship became something much deeper.

Aubrey’s joyful personality shines in every laugh, while Nolan’s calm and steady presence perfectly balances her energy. Today, he’s proudly serving as an Airman, and together they’ve built a relationship rooted in friendship, encouragement, and unwavering support.

Who would have thought playing at the neighborhood playground to Turkey Creek for an engagement session to start happily ever after.

As we wandered beneath the live oaks, I spent very little time directing them. Instead, I encouraged them to walk together, laugh, dance, and simply enjoy being together. Those unscripted moments became some of my favorite images from the evening.
